I’ve been sick this week. Some days were spent just resting with my brain not capable of much. Other days, however, were spent with some meditation. I’ve been going through the Bible Project’s class “From Adam to Noah” (you should check it out), and as has happened, my perspective on things I’ve been taught in my faith walk are shifting yet again.

What does it mean to have a “relationship with God?” It is something that I write about a lot. However, it might seem strange. You may think, “That’s kind of weird…how can a person have a relationship with something that he can’t see?” Beyond those who don’t believe in God at all, there are several people who think that a relationship with God is just kind of a weird idea. I know, because I used to be one of them. There was a time in my life when I believed in the existence of God, but the idea of a relationship with Him was for the crazy fundamentalists.
